Bring the battlefield to your desk

Presentation

Bring the battlefield to your desk

Welcome to a brand new type of action game - the type that takes place on any flat surface you want it to. That's right, as long as you have your PS Vita and your AR Play Cards, you can host a battle anywhere you like - your bedroom floor, your mum's dining table or your classroom desk can all become a war zone.

The rear camera on your PS Vita will detect your AR Play Cards and transform the flat surface in front of you into a battlefield, complete with obstacles, ammo and enemy bases. Within seconds you'll be driving your tank around different courses, while magical details such as scorched tyre marks across your desk or carpet make it all the more fun.

You can even design your own war zones in Solo Creator, filled with everyday objects. Cups, pens and anything else you have lying around can immediately become part of the game and provide a barrier or hiding place in your very own theatre of war.

Don't forget you can also download add-on packs from PlayStation Store to make your battlefield even more exciting and impressive. Head to PlayStation Store now to download Table Top Tanks and let the battle commence, wherever you are.

Have a blast

Gameplay

Have a blast

The desk: a place of work, school and, now, explosive battles. All you need is your PlayStation Vita and some AR Play Cards and Table Top Tanks will bring all the action of the battlefield straight to you.

Carefully place your AR Play Cards on the table in front of you - keep an eye on your PS Vita system's touchscreen to make sure they're in the right place and the rear camera can see them. You need to use at least three AR Play Cards, and you can use even more if you have room. Watch via the touchscreen as the surface in front of you transforms into a miniature war zone and your very own tank appears, ready for combat.

Select Solo Challenges to get to grips with your new vehicle. You'll begin at the shallow end of the battlefield, with simple tasks such as driving your tank over checkpoints and destroying targets with missiles. Manoeuvre your tank through each course with the left stick and use either the the L button or the R button to fire missiles and bombs at targets and opponents. See an aircraft overhead? Swipe downwards towards an enemy on the touchscreen to call in an airstrike and watch as a bomb explodes and a virtual crater opens up on your desk.

Once you've got the hang of the basics, it's time to go up against other tanks and have a go at game modes such as Capture the Flag and Last Tank Standing. Remember to keep an eye out for more ammunition, shields and other upgrades to help you take down foes.

What do you do when someone invades your battlefield? You fight back, that's what. Fortunately, Table Top Tanks features multiplayer modes so no one will get away with crashing your base uninvited.

Connect with up to three other players nearby via Ad Hoc Mode and you can all join in to see who's got the table top talent. Join forces with a partner and take on another couple of tanks in Two vs. Two, defend your base in Capture the Flag, or take down everyone else with bombs and missiles in Last Man Standing.

You'll only need one set of AR Play Cards and everyone can get stuck in - just make sure that everyone's PS Vita system can see them. Blow away your opponents on a variety of maps or challenge your friends to one you made yourself.

Download Table Top Tanks from PlayStation Store and blast into the action.
